Sting tour

A friend of mine relayed this story to me recently:
On this current Steely Dan tour, Sting came to 2 shows in New York and liked drummer Keith Carlock so much that he asked him to join him on his upcoming tour. This was told to my friend by Steely Dan's road manager. This was later reaffirmed at the Steely Dan show here in Hawaii in October when they introduced Carlock as 'soon to be touring with a precocious, white, middle-aged Englishman' or something like that. (All in jest to Sting, of course) Anyone hear anything about this to confirm? Carlock to do Sting tour? NO VINNIE?!

Do a SEARCH. I think the
topic came up before and
I believe it is true that
Keith will be the drummer
for Sting, this upcoming
tour. I've never missed a
Sting tour before.

True indeed....Vinnie hasn't toured with Sting in a few years but has been doing the TV appearances with him for the recent album promo.

Yes, I now see that this topic was posted back in late September - thanks for the search tip on the Hostboard's archives.
It will be interesting to see/hear Carlock's take on Sting tunes!
